Great Adirondack Moose Festival Returns For 15th Edition

The Great Adirondack Moose Festival (GAMF) is returning for its 15th edition, offering all kinds of moose-themed programs and activities for visitors of all ages.

GAMF will take place from September 26 to 28 at Indian Lake Central School. Organized by the nonprofit Indian Lake Chamber of Commerce, GAMF helps sustain the small Adirondack communities of Indian Lake, Blue Mountain Lake, and Sabael, with proceeds supporting the local economies.

The festival will feature a vast array of Moose-themed events. From a moose-calling contest, guided family-friendly wilderness hikes, to a Big Moose Vendor and Crafter Show, there will be plenty of activities to check out.

GAMF will also feature live music throughout the festival, including folk and blues artist Barry Oreck on Saturday, September 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oreck is a Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter known for evocative storytelling and rhythmic and stylistic songs. With four folk and blues albums released so far, Oreck will provide an apt surround sound for the upcoming festival.

With the festival taking place at peak fall foliage, visitors will enjoy the beautiful, warm colors in the Central Adirondacks.
