The Lot Finds Their Voice on Bold Debut EP ‘Life With Her’

Formed in 2024, New York-based band The Lot is made up of early 20-somethings John Newhall (vocals/guitar), Joe O’Brien (drums), and Sean Rogers (lead guitar)—lifelong friends and musicians who came together to build something bigger than themselves. With Newhall’s honest, melodic songwriting, O’Brien’s high-speed, eclectic drumming, and Rogers’ soulful, classic rock guitar work, The Lot quickly found a chemistry that felt undeniable.

The Lot

Originally launched from Newhall’s solo project, the group rebranded as The Lot—a name symbolizing collaboration, creativity, and a shared dream. What they’ve built together is bold, youthful, and packed with urgency.

Their live shows reflect that energy: loud, passionate, and unpredictable. Since forming, they’ve played throughout the Hudson Valley and beyond—sharing bills with legends like John Fogerty and performing at venues including Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, site of the original Woodstock festival. On stage and in the studio, they’re backed by rotating bassists Marco Salazar and Mark Venuto, who round out the sound with dynamic low-end support.

The Lot

Their debut EP, Life With Her, released in July 2025, captures the emotional highs and lows of chasing love, purpose, and meaning in your early twenties. It’s an honest soundtrack to growing up and going for it, together.

This record is the product of months of work—writing, rehearsing, recording, and learning. It’s shaped by every late-night session, every live show, every high and low they’ve experienced together. Life With Her tells a story they’ve been waiting to share, and they’re proud to finally bring it to the world.

Songs like “Late Night Whispers,” a strong and passionate introduction to their debut EP, cultivate a feeling of tension when trying to differentiate between a sense of hopelessness and “Late Night Whispers,” where people can spiral into their sensitive and intense emotions late in the night and begin to question themselves. The album captures a raw and unfiltered sound that honestly portrays the thoughts and feelings that come with sharing your life with another person.
