Multi-Platinum GRAMMY, BRIT, Golden Globe and Oscar winning artist and songwriter Sam Smith will take a residency, “To Be Free: New York City,” at music venue Warsaw in Brooklyn for 12 shows in October.

The announcement follows Smith’s new single and music video “To Be Free,” released on July 24. The song is an acoustic song that explores vulnerability unlocking bravery and freedom.
“I’ve never had a recording experience like I did making this song. It’s one vocal and guitar take from start to finish – one live performance of me and my friend Simon Aldred in a pure state of music and expression,” Smith said in a statement. “It was created during a time in my life where I became free within myself.”
Named after the single, Sam Smith will take a 12-night residency, “To Be Free: New York City,” at Warsaw, giving fans a rare chance to see up close and intimate performances.

Pre-sale for To Be Free: New York City will begin on Tuesday, July 29 at 10 a.m. General onsale will begin Friday, Aug. 1 at 10 a.m. See below for dates and to watch the “To Be Free” music video.
