Long Island band Half Dizzy dropped bittersweet nostalgia for the summer with punk rock song “Fade Away” on July 18.

“Fade Away” taps into the 90s nostalgia of summer music where days are spend making memories. The heart of the songs comes from the face pace rhythm of the song from drummer Mason Cohen and bassist Mina Maziekis. Half Dizzy is also composed of Dizzy Doll on lead vocals, Daniel Marchelewski on guitar and vocals and Mitchell Rhein on lead guitar.
“This feel-good summer track brings a wave of nostalgia, blending upbeat rhythms with reflective lyrics about unforgettable memories and sun-soaked moments,” Marchelewski said. “Perfect for road trip playlists and feel-good radio rotations, it captures the heart of summer with a timeless, carefree vibe.”

The single was recorded at Little Eden in Ashbury Park, NJ by Pete Steinkopf of Bouncing Souls. “Fade Away” has elements of ska amidst the young punk sound reminiscent of Blink-182 and early Green Day. Through its upbeat music, the sound has a melancholy undertone in the lyrics, telling a story about a past relationship. The chorus brings the bittersweetness home: “The sun shone down on me // And I watched it fade away.”
Half Dizzy describe themselves as a gritty punk band blending classic punk roots with a modern edge. Their sound comes from real-life frustration channeled into sharp, unfiltered music.
