Wu-Tang Clan Brings the Ruckus to Newark With Final Chamber Tour

On July 17, Wu-Tang Clan brought their Final Chamber Tour to the Prudential Center in Newark, delivering a powerful night of hip-hop nostalgia and unforgettable guest appearances.

The night came just one day after their last ever New York City show at Madison Square Garden, making this Newark stop feel like a victory lap for one of rap’s most influential groups.

Wu-Tang ran through a tight, crowd-hyping set that featured classic cuts from Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) and Wu-Tang Forever, with each member getting their moment to shine. The chemistry was as strong as ever, with the group locked in and the audience rapping every word.

Run the Jewels, the powerhouse duo of Killer Mike and El-P, opened the show and have been the supporting act for the entire Final Chamber Tour. Their politically charged, high-energy set primed the crowd perfectly for Wu-Tang’s arrival.

One of the biggest surprises of the night came when Lauryn Hill joined the Clan on stage. She performed her timeless hit “Killing Me Softly”, as well as two emotional tracks written by her sons: “Marching” (by Zion Marley) and “Praise Jah in the Moonlight” (by YG Marley). Hill also returned later in the show to join Raekwon and Ghostface Killah for a special performance of “Can It Be All So Simple.”

Later in the night, Mary J. Blige brought the house down when she hit the stage with Method Man for a live version of their classic duet “All I Need.” The moment drew a massive crowd reaction, blending R&B soul with Wu-Tang grit.

The show followed an epic performance the night before at MSG, where Wu-Tang hosted a star-studded lineup that included Slick Rick, Big Daddy Kane, The LOX, Havoc of Mobb Deep, Redman, and SWV. That NYC show marked the group’s final hometown performance, ending a chapter that started over 30 years ago.

The Final Chamber Tour wrapped up this Friday in Philadelphia, closing out a historic run of arena shows that has celebrated Wu-Tang’s legacy with raw energy, emotional moments, and a few surprise legends along the way.
