Hope Rocks Music Festival to Spark Awareness for Mental Health

The Hope Rocks Music Festival is coming to Albany this summer, sparking awareness for mental health and celebrating addiction. This event is a free, two-day arts and healing festival that features speakers, artists, counselors, crafters, as well as live music and food. This year’s festival is set to be held at the historic music venue Lark Hall on July 19.

Taking the stage at this year’s festival is Ian Flanigan and Jim Ranger, a pair of dynamic performers who first rose to prominence as finalists on NBC television’s reality singing competition The Voice. Also performing is Grammy-nominated, Los Angeles based blues rock band The Record Company.

“We are very thankful to be able to work with Ian to share the Hope Rocks’ mission of enlightening, educating, empowering and engaging a response to this epidemic of death caused by these issues.” Hope Rocks founder and president Joe Delfino said.

The festival got its start in 2017 as a collaboration between the Lark Hall venue and the nonprofit organization Hope Rocks Inc. Now in its eighth year, the Hope Rocks festival has been able to expand its reach to promote, share and celebrate the courage and strength of the recovery community.
