Kingston-based Micro-indie label Dromedary Records announced the addition of Yo La Tengo to the lineup for Dromfest 2025. The third annual music festival returns to The Avalon Lounge in Catskill, NY from August 29 to 31. The band is set to headline the event on Saturday night, joining in on a weekend long celebration of independent music and community.

Dromfest has evolved into a full-scale festival, featuring more than 20 bands across multiple venues, since its original launch in 2023 as a celebration of Dromedary Records’ 30th anniversary. The event continues to honor the spirit of indie rock throughout the past, present and future.
This year’s Dromfest features a stacked lineup of indie rock legends and important voices from across the independent music scene. Headliners include Sunburned Hand of the Man, Yo La Tengo, and Das Damen.
The weekend will feature rare and notable performances as The Dambuilders return for their first show in 29 years, featuring a powerhouse lineup of Dave Derby, Claudia Chopek, Sean Eden of Luna, and Brendan Canty of Fugazi. Phantom Tollbooth, veterans of Homestead Records, will play one of their first shows since the 1980s. Beth Kaplan of Salem 66 will make a rare appearance, having only played one other show in recent decades.
The weekend will also feature poetry readings from Annie Christain, Bel Simek, and Karen Schoemer and a screening of Chris Wilcha’s documentary “Flipside.”
“This is our third annual festival, and we’re thrilled that it’s become such a special weekend for so many people. We hope people come out for the entire weekend, soak up the vibes, and enjoy some great music. It’s a fantastic lineup – an excellent blend of indie rock legends, bands who haven’t performed together in years, and some younger acts making interesting, powerful music.”
Admission for Friday night’s events will be $25, $60 for Saturday and $55 for Sunday. Standard Saturday/Sunday passes will be $100. VIP passes are priced at $125 and include access to the upstairs lounge, afterparty, and priority admission to film screening, as well as a drink special, free promotional CD, and $20 donation to the Food Bank of Greene County.
