311 Bring Unity Tour to The Rooftop at Pier 17, Celebrating 30 Years of the Blue Album

On June 29th, New York City’s Rooftop at Pier 17 hosted an unforgettable evening as 311’s Unity Tour 2025 rolled through, honoring the 30th anniversary of their iconic Blue Album. The band drew thousands of fans to the scenic open-air venue, delivering a setlist that spanned decades of their genre-blending catalog and showcased fresh material from their latest release, Full Bloom.

The evening began with Sitting on Saturn, whose set of melodic, upbeat songs got the crowd warmed up.. Their set moved seamlessly from the reflective “Birthday Wishes” to the shimmering energy of “Tokyo” and the anthemic “Ticket to New York,” keeping the audience engaged from start to finish.

Los Angeles rockers Badflower followed with a charged performance that balanced raw emotion and swagger. Frontman Josh Katz delivered vocals with intensity as the band tore through heavy-hitting standouts like “No Place Like Home” and “Ghost,” before igniting the crowd with a powerful rendition of “Detroit” to close their set.

When 311 took the stage, the crowd erupted as frontman Nick Hexum and company opened with “Beautiful Disaster” and “Freeze Time” instantly transporting longtime fans back to the ’90s. The band kept the energy high with Blue Album staples like “Don’t Stay Home” and “Random,” while weaving in newer material including “You’re Gonna Get It” and “Need Somebody” from Full Bloom.

Throughout the set, 311 proved why their eclectic mix of rock, reggae, and hip-hop has stood the test of time. “Do You Right,” “Flowing,” and “Freak Out” ignited massive singalongs, while Hexum and SA Martinez traded vocals with effortless chemistry. As the night drew to a close, the unmistakable opening chords of “Down” sent the rooftop into a final, euphoric frenzy.

The Unity Tour 2025 continues across the country all summer long, wrapping up October 17th in San Diego. For a full list of tour dates and ticket information, visit 311.com.
