The Legacy Lives: Brew York Festival Is Back, Honoring Its Co-Founder’s Life and Legacy

Brew York Festival 2025 is set to return to Madison Barracks in Sackets Harbor, NY on August 23, bringing together craft beer enthusiasts and music fans for a day of live performances and community celebration. The all-ages festival will feature 14 bands across two full stages, highlighting the growing influence of the North Country’s music scene.

This year’s event holds special significance, honoring co-founder Jason Price, who passed away from cancer earlier this year. His legacy lives on through the festival itself and the Rock Out Childhood Cancer Foundation (ROCC), a cause he helped establish and one that remains central to Brew York’s mission in 2025.

Now in its ninth year, Brew York Festival has become a summer staple in Northern New York, drawing beer lovers and foodies to the village of Sackets Harbor. Set against the scenic backdrop of Lake Ontario and the Madison Barracks, the event is known for its laid-back outdoor vibe, eclectic craft beer lineup, and commitment to showcasing local talent and flavors.

Cousin Curtiss with Harrison B are set to headline Brew York Festival 2025, delivering their signature two-man, full-band sound. Their high-energy set blends blues, Americana, and roots-rock, built on Curtiss’s rhythmic fingerstyle guitar and harmonica, matched by Harrison B’s soulful electric work. Their performances are raw, tightly executed, and rooted in a deep appreciation for American musical traditions.

Also headlining are Quantum Cosmic, featuring Michael Lashomb of Annie in the Water, known for their improvisational, dance-driven grooves, and Jounce, a punk-infused rock band from Brooklyn fronted by Danny Tamberelli, blending ’90s indie and early 2000s melodic punk, with a touring history alongside acts like Sponge and Local H.

The full lineup also includes Chestnut Grove, Cowboy Killer, Jess Novak Band, When We Were Thirty, Quince & the New Paris, Undefeated, Josh Cox & the Rattlesnakes, Edge & Babi Lou with the Basement Crew, Desorder, and Rage Against the System.

Proceeds from the event benefit local volunteer fire and EMS services, the “Standing With Jason Price” campaign, and ROCC Charity. This year, the ROCC Charity supports 16-year-old Tucker Sweeting, a South Jefferson student and music lover currently undergoing treatment for stage 4 Ewing sarcoma. Known for his positive spirit, Tucker plays percussion in his school band and was recently inducted into the community-focused AzzDogz Motorcycle Organization.
