The Wallows and their opener, Porches, performed at Outer Harbor Terminal B on June 3rd. The night was filled with incredible jams and chill vibes.

Porches opened the evening with captivating synth-pop tunes. Aaron Maine, known by the stage name Porches, performed songs from his recently released two EPs titled “Scrap and Love Songs Revisited,” which was released on May 28th, and “Summer of Ten.”

His sound is unique; I’ve never encountered anything like it before. His performance captivated the entire crowd, and everyone was so engaged and in tune with the performance. The best way to describe his music is in his Spotify artist bio: “Porches taps into moments in life that are intimate, absurd, banal, and strangely everyday. His work distills a lifetime of songwriting into its most essential parts, taking listeners on a dreamy, primal journey through a man’s mind grappling with an incomprehensible time, reveling in both the joy and confusion of living through it all.”

When the Wallows took the stage, the sun was setting, providing a perfect backdrop for their vibrant stage lighting. The audience was undeniably one of the loudest I’ve experienced this year. They were incredibly excited when the band finally appeared and kicked off their set.

The Wallows did an excellent job of reciprocating the crowd’s enthusiasm! The band released an EP titled MORE this past March and performed several songs, including “Deep Dive” and “Hide It Away.” A definite crowd favorite was “Calling Me After” and “OK,” especially when Dylan Minnette jumped onto the speaker and leaned into the crowd, holding the microphone for them to sing along.

The night featured outstanding performances from both Porches and Wallows, filled with great music.
