Aussie rock band, Jet, made their stop in New York on Friday, May, 30 at The Rooftop at Pier 17. The show marked the band’s second show in New York since their breakup in 2012.

Originally formed in 2001, the band consists of Nic Cester (Lead Vocals/Guitar), brother Chris Cester (Drums), Cameron Muncey (Guitar), and Mark Wilson (Bass). They first gained traction in 2003 with their single “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” which was accompanied by their equally successful debut album Get Born.
Following their disbandment in 2012, the band has only performed in New York one other time in 2024 at Bowery Ballroom since then.

Opening the show was the English group, Band Of Skulls who primed the audience with their energetic stage presence and heavy garage rock. Their set perfectly set the stage for the night.

At 8:15, Jet took the rooftop stage and kicked off their set with the first track off of Get Born, “Last Chance.” They then delivered an hour and a half long set of some of their classic hits, ending with a cover of the AC/DC staple “It’s A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock N’ Roll).”
Jet continues their North American tour through June supported by Band Of Skulls.
