CMAC Welcomes Kane Brown for 2025 Season Opener

Kane Brown brought “The High Road Tour” to Canandaigua on Friday, May 23. The highly anticipated country artist returned to the CMAC stage for the first time since 2023, bringing a night of good vibes, high energy, and a performance that would leave fans intrigued throughout.

Kane opened the night with his song “I Am” as flames and smoke filled the stage. The Tennessee native primarily known for his contemporary country music incorporated elements of pop, R&B, and hip hop throughout the night. With a combination of visually impressive effects and energetic style from both Kane and the band, it became obvious that the fans were in for a treat.

Opening the night was Ashley Cooke, a country music singer and songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. Ashley gained recognition while attending college after winning the Belmont University Country Showcase. In 2024 she achieved her first No.1 song at country radio with “Your Place”.

The crowd sang along to the hit song with their hands in the air, apparent that they knew every word. Ashley has been nominated for the ACM Awards for New Female Artist of the year and is quickly gaining popularity and recognition from country music fans world wide.

Following Cooke’s performance was country pop singer and songwriter Mitchell Tenpenny, also from Nashville, Tennessee. Known for his hit song “Drunk Me”, Tenpenny brought powerful vocals to the stage. While stopping to address the crowd and share his story in between songs, Mitchell surprised the fans as he brought his wife, Meghan Patrick, also a country singer and songwriter, onto the stage.

They shared that they both wanted to create music with longevity, without chasing trends. Mitchell’s unique sound and heartfelt lyrics gave a sense of appreciation to the fans, and he certainly made for a memorable experience. Tenpenny went on to close out his performance with a rendition of the “Goo Goo Dolls” hit song “Iris”.

With the highly anticipated show being announced in October of last year, it was obvious the fans got what they came for. Kane Brown consistently showed appreciation throughout the night, thanking the fans for having him back at CMAC. The cold temperatures, rain, and mud didn’t stop the loyal fans from coming out to enjoy a great show. Kane closed out the night with his song “Miles On It”, as confetti fell from the ceiling, leaving fans with a performance they won’t forget. The tour’s next stop will be on Sunday, May 25, in Gilford, New Hampshire.
