The eagerly awaited Queens Rising 2025 returns this June for its fourth annual multidisciplinary arts festival.

A month-long celebration of the borough’s rich cultural diversity and vibrant arts scene, Queens Rising 2025 will kick off Sunday, June 1. The festival will open with a reception of the Queens Rising Visual Arts Exhibit at 4 p.m. in the Red Wall Gallery of Resorts World New York City, and a live music performance from Union Beat at Bar 360 at 6 p.m.
“Art possesses an universal transformative power to provide solace, inspiration, and connection, during times of uncertainty,” said Visual Artist and Queens Rising 2025 Curator Arianne Fernandez. “As a Queens native, it is an honor to curate an exhibit that highlights the resilience of the human spirit and community.”
With more than 50 local artists set to perform around the borough through curated events, the Queens Scene Performance Series will be returning for its second year. Queens Scene highlights performances held at iconic cultural venues such as Flushing Town Hall, Alewife Brewing, and CultureLab LIC throughout the month.

“As an artist, I’ve heard firsthand the voices of local performers expressing a deep desire to be seen, heard, and celebrated,” said Queens Rising Project Manager Nedelka Sotelo. “Queens Scene was created with that intention—to amplify visibility for our homegrown talent and to open doors to more opportunities across the borough and beyond.”
Some of Queens Rising’s must-see events include live performances by Birds Dance for Queens, Uptown Royalty and Afro Dominicano held at the open-air Queens Night Market Saturday June 14, and An Arts & Healing Guided Meditation with Sit With Me in Wonderland, Tuesday June 24 at Sunnyside Library.
