The Adirondack Trust Company Festival of Young Artists takes place on Sunday, June 1 at Saratoga Performing Arts Center.

Jenny Fang won the “Outstanding Artist” award for visual art. Gianna Zhang for literary art; and Audrey Bedell and Iris Yang for performing arts. A $500 scholarship is awarded to each category toward the continued honing of their craft.
The community festival’s theme is Wonder, inspired by the work of 24th U.S. Poet Laureate Ada Limón. Last year’s theme was Rhythm.
Displays of hundreds of the Capital Region’s brightest youth will culminate in a large-scale performance. As part of the production, an original musical composition by festival student, Siyi Guo (Guilderland HS, Grade 12), will premiere. The ESYO Symphony Orchestra will perform the piece.
“Nothing is more life-affirming than witnessing the joy and talent of our region’s youth,” said Elizabeth Sobol, Chief Executive Officer of SPAC.

The event features students from local schools and organizations including Empire State Youth Orchestra (ESYO), Capital District Youth Chorale, Saratoga Springs Youth Ballet, Narthanalaya School of the Arts, and the SPAC School of the Arts. The Adirondack Trust Company Festival of Young Artists will celebrate the collaborative creativity of these students in support of SPAC’s mission to provide free and accessible arts programming for local youth.
The Adirondack Trust Company Festival of Young Artists is from 2pm – 5:30pm on Sunday, Jun 1.
