Alternative rock duo Pry released their new single, “So Good,” ahead of their upcoming LP Wrapped In Plastic, out May 29. The Brooklyn based duo consists of Amara Bush and Simeon Beardsley who started the DIY project in 2023.

“So Good” tells a story about getting lost in the motions of life. “It was lightly inspired by an unfinished poem by Simeon’s grandfather called “ten roses” and reading into the lines left blank,” says Pry. This gritty single speaks on the dizzying feeling of floating through a waking sleep before the reward in the clarity of finding yourself. With inventive electronic instrumentals and reverberated vocals, Pry create a fast-paced sound, reminiscent of 90s punk and shoegaze.
“So Good” follows the release of singles “Tether You,” “Heaven” and “Greener.” Wrapped In Plastic, Pry’s first studio album, speeds through a world of to-the-point lyricism. Putting together a collection of narratives from their lives, the duo create a post-punk electronic sound.
To celebrate the release of Wrapped In Plastic, Pry will play an album release show with bands Cal Fish and Crate at Night Club 101 on May 31. For more details visit here.
