Tony Award® nominee Melissa Errico, one of Broadway’s most magnetic performers, is bringing her acclaimed concert Sondheim in the City to New Jersey Performing Arts Center on May 17 — a dazzling evening of music and storytelling celebrating the wit, heartbreak, and humanity of Stephen Sondheim.
She’ll also perform at 54 Below in NYC on June 20 and 21, and in East Hampton on August 16.

Hailed by Gramophone Magazine for taking the musical theater compilation to “a new level,” Errico’s Sondheim in the City album (Concord) and live show reimagine the composer’s most urban works through her uniquely elegant, witty, and emotionally charged lens. Expect classics like “Another Hundred People,” “Being Alive,” “Good Thing Going,” “Broadway Baby,” and more — performed with all the nuance and passion that’s made Errico a favorite of critics and fans alike.
With a voice the Wall Street Journal calls “one of a kind” and a stage presence described as “Jessica Rabbit with a Ph.D.,” Errico brings Sondheim’s New York to life — a city of dreamers, cynics, romantics, and realists, all sketched in song by one of Broadway’s greatest composers.
Errico’s connection to Sondheim runs deep. She’s starred in Sunday in the Park with George, Passion, and Do I Hear a Waltz?, and her concert performances — including “Losing My Mind” and “Loving You” — showcase her command of the emotional complexities woven into Sondheim’s music.
Beyond Sondheim, Errico has left her mark on Broadway in My Fair Lady, Dracula, Les Misérables, and White Christmas, performing with legends like Alec Baldwin and Jerry Stiller. She’s also an accomplished writer, essayist, and recording artist — blending intellect and artistry in everything she does.
For fans of Sondheim, New York, or simply world-class live performance, May 17 at NJPAC promises a night to remember.
