Wild Adriatic is scheduled to headline The City of Glens Falls South Street Block Party this week on Friday, May 16.
This free event will take place from 5 to 8 pm for the celebration of the opening of the new Market and Event Center. The South Street Block Party will also feature lawn games for kids, a variety of food and drink from local business and an opening set of music from Joe DeFelice.
The stage will be set up at the new Market & Event Center — the capstone of the city’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative projects — giving the community a chance to see how the building can be used. Joe DeFelice will kick off the music for the the South Street Block Party at 5 pm with Wild Adriatic to follow with two sets at 6 and 7 pm.
The evening will also feature Cornhole and lawn games for kids, provided by (g)row and Rent ‘Em Game, displays from local businesses and non-profit organizations and a variety of food and drink from Glens Falls restaurants with plenty of opportunities to dine, shop, and explore downtown.
“This is more than a block party — it’s a celebration of Glens Falls’ continued growth and vibrancy,” said Mayor S. William Collins. “We’re proud to showcase the new Market & Event Center and welcome the community downtown to enjoy great music, food, games, and local pride.”
