In Focus: Silverstein Gets Up Close and In Their 25 Years of Noise Tour

On Tuesday, May 6, Silverstein returned to Rochester to celebrate their “25 Years Of Noise” tour at Water Street Music Hall; featuring Grayhaven, Broadside, and Real Friends. Excited fans were delighted to receive an intimate show as front men crossed barricades to sing to them and were encouraged to crowd surf into the pit.

The Canadian emo band, Silverstein, played highlights from their career in reverse chronological order. Starting with music from their newest album Anti Bloom and ended the night with their earliest music. Taking concert goers through the motions as they: moshed, cried, and reminisce of simpler times from their youth.

Confessional music danced through hazy beams of light, stage platforms, and large LED screens. In between sets the crowd could be heard screaming with joy and sharing commentary as the band’s home videos played. During the show the screens enhanced the production as a backdrop; playing graphics, and live-streaming the audience and band.

2025 has been dog-eared as a big year in the book of Silverstein. The chapter may be called “The Twenty-Fifth Anniversary Tour” but the hero’s journey features two new album releases. The band released Anti Bloom back in February and Pink Moon will be released September 12.
