Trinidadian-American rapper/singer Hurri Haran, based in Brooklyn, has dropped his latest love track, “Stingy,” out now. Protecting love is the goal for Hurri as he tries to keep his partner away from the outside world so he can continue admiring her on this summer-vibed single.
“Stingy” is an ode to the feeling of wanting to spend every moment with your person. The hypnotic track paints the picture of Hurri’s definition of stingy. This is not a case of being stingy with his love for someone, but rather being stingy in keeping his love close and intimate. The more loyal the better, so there is no questioning if someone is all in or not.
“Stingy” follows this year’s previous release, “Drunk” and “Zoom,” which captured the push and pull of a relationship in turmoil, balancing the tension between longing and frustration with slick metaphors and a hypnotic hook about the rapid pace of both love and life.
