The neo-soul R&B singers’ new single is smooth for the ear and easy to listen to. With a sound resonating artists like Mac DeMarco, the audio reflects on themes of broken connection due to technology and our growing society’s overall disconnect. The music video reflects similar feelings of disconnect, as the singer travels from a winter hibernation-induced isolation to reconnecting with loved ones.

“I think throughout the song I’m asking for genuine connection and reaching out to friends trying to meet them where they’re at with energy and time,” JayWood said. “We don’t gotta do things all the time routinely but let’s just show up with where we’re at in life.”

JayWood has also announced multiple performances within the east coast, including Philadeplhia, Kingston, Portland, Brattleboro, Northampton and New York City. The singer will perform at Kingston’s Assembly on May 9 and in New York City’s Night Club 101 on May 15.
