Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is gearing up for its 2025 season, continuing to deliver music and arts to the Catskills. Located in the National Register Historic Site of the 1969 Woodstock festival, Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is committed to building upon our rich history of peace and music by providing extraordinary experiences and access to the arts.
Located 90 miles from New York City, the 1,000-acre campus includes a Pavilion Stage amphitheater with a seating capacity of 16,000, an intimate 422-seat indoor Event Gallery, the award-winning Museum at Bethel Woods, and two studios for creative learning programs for all ages.
Back in 2002, the architectural firm Westlake Reed Leskosky began designing a cultural and performing arts center that would become Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. The New York Philharmonic performed as the multi-venue project opened for its inaugural season in 2006. Since then, legendary performers such as Elton John, Dave Matthews Band, Sting, Pitbull, Jimmy Buffett, Van Halen, Jason Aldean, Lady Gaga, and more have taken center stage.
Blackmore’s Night with special guest The Wizard’s Consort – May 03, 8:00 PM
Bethel Woods will host legendary guitarist, formerly of Deep Purple and Rainbow, Ritchie Blackmore, and award-winning vocalist Candice Night, who created a new genre of music for all ages, inspired by melodies of the Renaissance period and Blackmore-ized into contemporary music. In 1997, Blackmore’s Night released their debut CD, Shadow of the Moon, which immediately went gold in Japan and earned multiple music awards worldwide. Meanwhile, their devoted fan base has grown exponentially as the band performs their mystical music for all ages. From grandparents to children, everyone is enjoying their medieval mood music and gypsy dances.
Studio at the Woods: Digital Photography for Adults – May 05 – June 16, 6:00 PM
Embark on a fun and social journey into the world of digital photography with the 6-week beginner/intermediate class at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. This isn’t just a course, it’s a chance to meet fellow photography enthusiasts while enjoying evenings filled with creativity, laughter, and new friendships. Whether you’ve always wanted to take better vacation photos, finally understand what all those camera buttons actually do, or just want a creative night out with adults who share your interests, this course welcomes all skill levels. Teaching artists Marika Robak and Kandace Gittleman create a relaxed, judgment-free zone where questions are encouraged and mistakes are celebrated as part of the learning process.
Studio at the Woods: Adult Rock Camp – May 14 – June 18, 6:00 PM
Hosted on the historic grounds of the 1969 Woodstock Music Festival, Adult Rock Camp offers a unique opportunity for individuals 21+ to explore their musical dreams, regardless of their prior experience or skill level. This 6-week evening program creates a supportive and collaborative environment where beginners can finally turn those “I’ve always wanted to play in a band” thoughts into reality. You’ll learn the fundamentals of drums, keyboard, voice, or guitar through group instrument instruction in a no-pressure environment. Band practice sessions help you develop the crucial skills of playing with other musicians. You’ll discover how to listen, respond, and contribute to a collective sound while experienced teaching artists from Bethel Woods introduce you to the foundational elements of rock rhythms.
Dave Matthews Band: Summer Tour 2025 – May 24, 7:30 PM
With a career spanning over 30 years, Dave Matthews Band is taking a stop at Bethel Woods while on his Summer Tour. In 1991, vocalist/guitarist Dave Matthews decided to put some songs he had written on tape and sought the assistance of drummer Carter Beauford and saxophonist LeRoi Moore, who were both accomplished jazz musicians in the local Charlottesville, VA music scene. 16-year-old bassist Stefan Lessard came on board shortly thereafter. Their infectious, distinctive sound garnered lots of early attention and a die-hard loyal fan base, catapulting the band into one of the most successful touring acts of the past three decades. The band has sold more than 25 million tickets since its inception, making them the second largest ticket-seller in history.

Luke Bryan will make a stop at Bethel Woods for his Country Song Came On Tour. Luke Bryan is one of country music’s most prolific hitmakers. The Leesburg, Georgia native began his career writing hit songs for country icons Travis Tritt and Billy Currington. Since breaking out in 2011 with the record-breaking single “Country Girl (Shake It For Me),” Bryan has produced 12 No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and more RIAA-certified digital singles than anyone in country music. Rock Band Jam at Bethel Woods is a monthly drop-in for musicians looking to connect with others for a drop-in pick-up session. Two studio rooms provide amps, instruments, microphones, and teaching artists for support to facilitate a rock-led set list or a psychedelic jam session. Bring your favorite songs or drop in and enjoy the vibe.
Tri-State New York Spartan Event Weekend – June 7 – 8, 7:00 AM

Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis – June 22, 7:00 PM
The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (JLCO), comprising 15 of the finest jazz soloists and ensemble players today, has been the Jazz at Lincoln Center resident orchestra since 1988 and spends over a third of the year on tour across the world. Featured in all aspects of Jazz at Lincoln Center’s programming, this remarkably versatile orchestra performs and leads educational events in New York, across the U.S. and around the globe; in concert halls; dance venues; jazz clubs; public parks; and with symphony orchestras; ballet troupes; local students; and an ever-expanding roster of guest artists. Avril Lavigne has been on a trip down memory lane this year on tour supporting her new Greatest Hits album, and she’s announced a new run of shows for 2025, including a stop at Bethel. Simple Plan, whom she played on her very first tour as well as this year’s dates, will also open most of the 2025 shows. P.L.A.Y. (Peace. Love. Arts. You.) is a fun-filled summer arts program for kids ages 5-14, set on the legendary grounds of the 1969 Woodstock festival. Led by professional teaching artists, kids will dive into music, painting, sculpture, digital design, and more, sparking creativity and community in an unforgettable setting. Through hands-on exploration in drawing, painting, sculpture, dramatic play, music, and more, young artists will develop their fine motor skills, build confidence, and make new friends along the way.
P.L.A.Y. All Day (ages 7-9) – Week-long Sessions From June 30 – August 22, 9:00 AM
7-9 year old artists will start to build specific skills in the arts with structured curriculum that includes collaborative projects, special musical activities, and time in nature to inspire creativity. The program also includes enriching museum visits and weekly guests that connect kids to the rich history and legacy of our community and Bethel Woods.
P.L.A.Y. Film (ages 10-14) – Week-long Sessions From June 30 – July 11, 9:00 AM
In this dynamic two-week filmmaking intensive, students will dive into the world of cinema, exploring a variety of genres while mastering the fundamentals of visual storytelling. Under the guidance of experienced instructors and industry professionals, participants will develop essential filmmaking skills, including scriptwriting, cinematography, directing, and video editing. Through hands-on workshops and practical exercises, students will learn how to craft compelling narratives, operate cameras, frame shots, and experiment with lighting and sound design. They’ll gain experience in scene blocking, working with actors, and utilizing professional editing software to bring their stories to life. Collaboration is at the heart of filmmaking, and students will also sharpen their teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities as they work together to produce original short films.

Cyndi Lauper with Jake Wesley Rogers: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour – July 25, 7:30 PM
Cynthia Ann Stephanie Lauper will also make a stop at Bethel. Lauper is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and activist. Her album She’s So Unusual was the first debut album by a female artist to achieve four top-five hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned Lauper the Best New Artist award at the 27th Annual Grammy Awards in 1985. Fifteen years since their last album of original music, the Robinson Brothers return with Happiness Bastards—their 10th studio album and a raw, no-frills dose of rock & roll.
