Jon Lamanna, former lead singer of the popular rock band Cry to the Blind, is back with his highly anticipated eighth single, “Amens.” This heartfelt acoustic ballad captures the emotional depth of a relationship struggling through a difficult time, showcasing Lamanna’s lyrical prowess and raw musicality.
Released on April 15, “Amens” marks another significant milestone in Lamanna’s solo career, which began in 2022 following the disbandment of Cry to the Blind. Since then, he has quickly made a name for himself as a dynamic solo artist, performing several times a month in the Finger Lakes area, delivering both original songs and popular covers.
Jon has a reputation as an emotionally driven performer who wears his heart on his sleeve. Having fronted the popular rock act Cry to the Blind, Jon eventually found his way into the local brewery and bar scene performing acoustic covers on the side in 2010. Over time, as his tastes and surroundings changed, Jon grew to love country, blues, and pop and blended those elements with his rock sensibility to naturally evolve into a powerful solo artist and songwriter on his own.
