Joins Harrison Lipton Title Track Tether from His Upcoming Album Joined by Yot Club

On April 9, Harrison Lipton will release Tether, the title track from his highly anticipated sophomore album Between Us There Runs a Tether, set to drop on May 7 via Amuse.

The album is a blend of reflection and forward-looking exploration, offering a personal narrative that weaves together the past and present. Between Us There Runs a Tether symbolizes a metaphorical rope, uniting the varying stages of Lipton’s journey as an artist, as well as his emotional and creative evolution.

For the title track, Harrison Lipton has once again teamed up with Ryan Kaiser of Yot Club. Their collaboration began during the pandemic when the two connected online, but it quickly blossomed into a strong friendship and musical partnership. The duo previously worked together on “Human Nature” from Yot Club’s 2024 album Rufus. Their creative chemistry continued to shine when they collaborated on the single “On the Ground,” which Yot Club released last month. This ongoing partnership has proven to be one of the most exciting in the indie-pop scene today.

The creation of “Tether” took a unique turn when Harrison Lipton, needing to return a forgotten tote bag from a recent party, visited Kaiser’s apartment in Bushwick. What was supposed to be a quick errand turned into an impromptu songwriting session that resulted in the heartfelt and catchy track. The song and its accompanying video feature a playful, self-deprecating sense of humor and an undeniable sense of camaraderie between the two artists, highlighting their close friendship and bromantic bond.

The release of “Tether” serves as the perfect introduction to Between Us There Runs a Tether. With its infectious melody and reflective lyrics, the song provides a glimpse into the album’s overall theme of connection, personal growth, and the delicate balance between the past and the future.
