Clap Your Hands Say Yeah is celebrating its milestone 20th anniversary with a world tour stopping at the Swyer Theatre at The Egg in Albany on May 7th and Webster Hall in NYC on May 9th.
On top of a world tour, the band is also releasing limited deluxe vinyl reissues of the landmark self-titled debut album, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, as well as Flashy Python’s Skin and Bones, Ounsworth’s 2009 solo debut, Mo Beauty, and the band’s 2011 third album, Hysterical, available Friday, May 30.

The world tour commences on April 4th, starting in Texas, and the band will travel around the country and then all over the globe, including South America, Europe, and Australia. During the tour, the band will perform their classic debut album in its entirety, as well as hits from their entire discography. The supporting acts include Babehoven on March 31-April 16, Knifeplay on May 2-10, and La Zorra Zapata on May 3.

Formed around the enigmatic singer-songwriter Alec Ounsworth, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah is an electric blend of pop and melodic indie rock. Their self-titled first album is still considered one of the most influential independent releases of the 2000s. Time has only magnified the charm of their debut album, and this upcoming tour is an incredible opportunity to see the band perform their iconic songs.
