Halfway Decent: A Spacey Folk Rock Journey Through the Hills of the Appalachians

Faith Kelly is releasing her third solo album, Halfway Decent, a spacey folk rock’n’roll album with psychedelic Appalachian twists, on April 1.

Growing up in Duncannon, Pennsylvania, Kelly taps into her hillbilly roots and blends with her trippy recent roots. Produced by friend Eamon Lebow and mastered by Greg Castro, this is a completely DIY, non-represented album.

Written about the winds changing, life on the road, and the people we meet along the way, some songs have more singer-songwriter roots, while others are krautrock-influenced stories recorded with her friends from the music scene in the Catskills.

Halfway Decent is a term Kelly’s mechanic used to fix up her car after they were hit by a drunk driver on tour. Kelly and her friends decided they wanted to make a halfway decent album, in hopes of inspiring others to follow their paths in this wild world. Caswyn Moon and Faith Kelly are embarking on their 9th tour since they started in 2022.

“We’re just a couple of wanderers who travel around America to share our songs to anyone, anywhere. When we’re not touring we’re at home playing gigs and hosting open mics & events locally in the Catskills mountains of New York. We’re two solo musicians who play original music.”

Caswyn usually starts off the night with his American rock music with old country undertones, then he steps away and Kelly plays spacey folk rock’n’roll with Appalachian mountain twists. He is also featured heavily on the new album. For more information, click here.
