SahBabii Takes Over NYC: A Spellbinding Night of Squid and Soul

With St. Patrick’s Day winding down in the city and The Resurrection Tour on the horizon, Sahbabii left the first of two shows on his tour off to a great start. SahBabii’s ‘The Resurrection Tour’ made a memorable stop at New York City’s Webster Hall

The Atlanta rapper, known for his melodic approach to trap music, delivered a performance that seamlessly blended his older hits with tracks from his latest album, Saaheem (2024).

The crowd buzzed with unmistakable Gen Z energy, a fusion of dark aesthetics, streetwear staples, and edgy high-fashion silhouettes. The night kicked off with opener Che, who wasted no time cranking up the intensity. With a DJ slicing between tracks and layering smooth transitions, Che’s set was fast-paced and razor-sharp.

Cries of “open up the pit” rang out repeatedly, building to a chaotic climax when he tore into “Miley Cyrus.” Lights flashed, bodies slammed together, and the pit churned into a whirlwind of unrestrained motion.

The stage design was a standout feature, meticulously crafted to resemble SahBabii’s childhood home, complete with squid tentacles emerging from the windows—a nod to his unique aesthetic. A street sign from his block further emphasized his roots, showcasing the attention to detail that was evident through the entire spectacle.

The energy at Webster Hall was electric, with the crowd roaring to life during performances of fan favorites “Pull Up With a Stick” and SahBabii’s current smash hit, “Viking.” SahBabii’s passion for his craft and his fans was unmistakable, making the New York City stop of The Resurrection Tour a night to remember for everyone in attendance.
