Alison Krauss & Union Station released their new single, “Granite Mills,” the second preview of their eagerly anticipated album, Arcadia. Arcadia is the first album the band has released in 14 years, coming out on March 28th.
Accompanying the new album, the band will be going on their first tour in more than 10 years this spring, making stops at the Beacon Theatre in NYC on September 12th and 13th and the Artpark Mainstage Theater in Lewiston on September 21st, featuring special guest Willie Watson.

The band also announced the addition of Russel Moore as a guitarist and vocalist. Russell Moore is the International Bluegrass Music Association’s most-awarded male vocalist of all time and is well known for running the iconic bluegrass band Illrd Time Out. Moore’s years of experience and undeniable talent are an exciting addition to Alison Krauss & Union Station, and their latest single is his introduction to the band as lead vocalist.
” I couldn’t believe it when we went into the studio and his voice came through the speakers, He just stands there and sings with his hands in his pockets, and he kills it. The first song he did was ‘Granite Mills’ and about 10 minutes in, Ron was covering his mouth because he started giggling. Russell came in and inspired us all.”

Arcadia follows the 2011 album Paper Airplane and continues the iconic sound that Alison Krauss & Union Station are known and loved for.
