My Morning Jacket Announce 3-Night Stand at Brooklyn Paramount

Rock band My Morning Jacket has announced their 10th studio album, is, in addition to the second leg of their tour, “My Morning Jacket ‘is’ On Tour,” making three performances in Brooklyn in October.

My Morning Jacket’s 10th studio album, to be released on March 21, includes production by three-time GRAMMY Award-winner Brendan O’Brien and the lead single “Time Waited,” which reached Billboard’s top 10 list for Adult Alternative Airplay at a rapid rate. In a recent performance on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” My Morning Jacket brought high energy through their widely recognized stage performances of “Time Waited” and their second single, “Squid Ink.”

For the Kentucky-born five-piece band – Jim James (vocal, guitar), Tom Blankenship (bass), Carl Broemel (guitar), Patrick Hallahan (drums), Bo Koster (keyboard) – is brings a new sound and perspective to their music legacy, now with the help of O’Brien. James, who has proudly produced/co-produced all of the band’s albums since their debut, working with O’Brien required some vulnerability to step outside his comfort zone.

“Up until now I’ve never been able to let go and allow someone else to steer the ship,” James said. “It almost felt like an out-of-body experience to step back and give control over to someone who’s far more accomplished and made so many more records than us, but in the end, I was able to enjoy the process maybe more than I ever have before.”

In addition to their performances on tour, My Morning Jacket will make appearances at multiple festivals, including the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival in May and My Morning Jacket’s One Big Holiday in April. My Morning Jacket’s One Big Holiday will feature a three-day music vacation with performances by Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Devon Gilfillian, Dinosaur Jr. and more.

Tickets to the general public will begin on Friday, March 7 at 10 a.m. local time at this link
