Friday, February 21, Melt made their second stop on their “Plant the Garden Tour” at Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, supported by Lea the Leox.

Lea the Leox opened the show with her enticing and bubbly personality. Lea, originally from Brockton, Massachusetts, has moved to Los Angeles to further share her multi-genre music. Her music combines classic R&B, soul, and pop which helps create a timeless sound. In the way of recent releases, she gave Bearsville an exclusive look into some of her upcoming musical releases. One song carried a message to the audience about being your truest self because the “weirdest things about you are what make you cool,” said Lea.

Melt, a band originating in New York City, launched their debut album “There’s a Heaven” in 2024. Their album emulates the spirit of Fleetwood Mac with a modern twist. This album is a joyous retelling of growing up and learning to find your community. They drew in a crowd of prior fans along with those who became fans after hearing them live. From the audience you can see the band’s relationships with one another inspiring those in the audience to grab their friends’ hands and dance along with them.

Melt then came out for an encore to play their song “Plant the Garden” which the tour is named after. This song describes finding your peace and helping to create the world you want to live in. This is the final piece of advice Veronica (lead singer) leaves us with as the band comes together to thank their audience.

Setlist: Fake Romantic, Waves, Walk To Midnight, Shy, The Door, Better Without You, Through the Wall, Veronica’s Apology, The Idiot, Don’t Want Me, Communion, Sour Candy, Heaven, Plant the Garden.
