The Cayuga Chamber Orchestra continues its Orchestral Series with Flight of Fancy, featuring The Cayuga Chamber Orchestra Concertmaster Christina Bouey, on Saturday, February 22, at 7:30 pm at Ithaca College’s Ford Hall. Take a musical journey in celebration of birds, including, a “peckish” Haydn Symphony, the moving Jocelyn Morlock’s Solace, Vaughan Williams’ The Lark Ascending, and the recorded sounds of the Arctic Circle in Einojuhani Rautavaara’s Concerto for Birds and Orchestra.

Christina Bouey is a Canadian/American critically acclaimed violinist. Bouey serves as Concertmaster for the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra and was also recently named Concertmaster of the Albany Symphony.

The Cayuga Chamber Orchestra was founded in 1976 and is officially designated “Ithaca’s Orchestra.” Each season includes an Orchestral Series, a Chamber Music Series, a Holiday concert, free Family Concerts, and the long-standing Willard Daetsch Youth Outreach Program, which earned the 2015 Yale Distinguished Music Educator award.

Maestro Guillaume Pirard will conduct the orchestra and offer a free Pre-concert Chat with Ms. Bouey an hour before the performance.
