Connecticut-based rock quintet Goose has announced their fourth studio album, Everything Must Go, scheduled to be released on Friday, April 25. Goose also released their first single, “Give It Time,” and summer tour stops at Mountain Jam, Canandaigua, and New York City as part of their summer tour.

Singer and guitarist Rick Mitarotonda reflects on the new single’s origins and blossoming meaning. “I feel like this song showed itself to us at just the right moment,” Mitarotonda said. “We’d played around with it for a while but it wasn’t until we started rehearsing with the new formation of the band that it clicked. The arrangement came together in real-time just as the band was emerging from this difficult moment and reintroducing ourselves. And so it feels like an anthem of that time — the doubt, the excitement, and the possibility of something new. It felt significant that the song is about patience and letting things come to you and that’s exactly what happened here.”
Everything Must Go follows the band’s critically acclaimed 2022 album, Dripfield. Listeners can expect new music written throughout the band’s recent years of growth and development, featuring re-imagined live songs that capture the band’s essence of their evolving sound. Mitarotonda says that the upcoming album “captures a part of the journey of the band,” noting that the album “mixes different moods and ideas and characters,” creating a welcoming environment for listeners of different music tastes.

To celebrate the release of their album, the band has announced the “Everything Must Go Summer Tour,” including their first-ever headline show at NYC’s Madison Square Garden on June 28. The band will also perform at music festivals throughout the tour, including the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival and Mountain Jam.
Goose is well known for their genre-blending sound, mesmerizing live performances and dedicated fan base. The band features Rick Mitarotonda (vocals, guitar), Peter Anspach (vocals, keys, guitar), Trevor Weekz (bass), Jeff Arevalo (vocals, percussion, drums) and Cotter Ellis (vocals, drums). Known for their strong DIY ethos, the Connecticut-based band has reminded listeners that music is felt, lived and shared.
Digital pre-saves of Everything Must Go are available now, whereas vinyl pre-orders will be available on Jan. 28 at 12 p.m. EST. Tickets for Goose Summer Tour will begin on Friday, Jan. 31 at 10 a.m. For more information, visit goosetheband.com/tour.
