Albany alt-rock band Bad Mothers have released “Everything is Alright,” the lead single off their upcoming album. The four-piece group met as students at the College of Saint Rose, and released their debut EP, Why Bother, in 2017. As of 2021, they’ve signed to Shooter Jennings’ label, Black Country Rock, which is set to give them a major push.
After the Fall
Albany hardcore band After the Fall formed in 2000, with two members previously performing in another band. Mike Moak and Tyler Paige conceived Downfall as teenagers, and opened for bands such as Rise Against while still in high school. After the Fall released their latest album, Resignation, in August of 2020, with new single “Break a Leg” coming on October 22.
Alt-folk roots rock band Doctor Baker began as a duo, but expanded their lineup and sound for Apocalyptic Love Songs, Part One. The now-fivesome performed at the Linda last July, and will be playing at Nine Pin Cider Works on November 12.
