Foo Fighters’ New Album ‘Concrete and Gold’ Gets Sept. Release Date, U.S. Tour Dates Announced

Foo Fighters announced details about their 9th studio album this week. Concrete and Gold will be released on Sept. 15 on Roswell Records / RCA Records. It was recorded at Hollywood’s state-of-the-art EastWest studios, produced by Greg Kurstin (Pink, Kesha, Kelly Clarkson), and mixed by Darrell Thorp (OutKast, Radiohead, Beck). The new material will be played live at a 50,000 person festival in San Bernadino on October 7, then at performances across the U.S.

I wanted it to be the biggest sounding Foo Fighters record ever. To make a gigantic rock record but with Greg Kurstin’s sense of melody and arrangement… Motorhead’s version of Sgt. Pepper… or something like that.” – Dave Grohl
