Mountain Jam has decided to change the dates of the festival starting in 2017 to increase the chances of better weather during the festival.

Traditionally held in late-May or early-June since its inception in 2005, the 13th annual festival will held later in June. The new dates for Mountain Jam, the annual music festival at Hunter Mountain, will be held June 16 to 18 in 2017. From the email announcement:

… we have decided to move the date to June 16-18, 2017 in an effort to prevent weather cancellations or delays and increase our chances of sunny days and clear mountain nights.

Michael Franti often says that you get to experience ALL four seasons at Mountain Jam, however after 12 Mountain Jam festivals we decided it was finally time to push the date ahead, focusing on two ideal seasons Spring and Summer!

This year’s festival saw some severe weather events move through the area. At one point it was bad enough to force festival organizers to evacuate the festival grounds and cancel all of the Sunday, June 5 performances. Ticket buyers received partial refunds.

The 13th annual Mountain Jam is currently in preparations. Fans should stay tuned for updates about on-sale information, early admission for camping on Thursday with a pre-party on the indoor stage and the full lineup announcement.
