moe. Announces New Years Destination

Earlier this year, moe.’s Al Schnier riled up moe.ron nation in an interview with Zee Donaldson on the Made in Utica website, stating that the band was looking to mix it up for this year’s New Year’s Eve run by playing in a “remote location.” Speculation began immediately among the moe. faithful along with cries of “Keep it in Albany!” the site of the past three  moe. New Year celebrations.

Tuesday the band made it official, announcing it would be spending this year’s New Year holiday in Missoula, Montana at the Wilma Theatre Dec. 30 and 31.

In the UCs With Zee interview, Schnier stated, “We have something really out of the ordinary planned for New Year’s this year. We’ve been talking about doing something in a random location for a while.” Playing the vastness of Montana in the dead of winter certainly fits that bill.

Pre-sale single night general admission tickets for the run go on sale Wednesday June 22 at noon ET through moe.ticketing and the venue’s website. General on sale begins Friday June 24.  For more information on ticketing, visit moe.’s site.

moe. will make another hometown visit to the Saranac Brewery in Utica July 29 and 30 with Ryan Montbleau and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong supporting.

Check out moe. covering Cracker’s “Low” at last year’s Saranac run.
