The first 24 hours in Miami for Phish’s 2014 NYE Run, we had dumplings, ramen, mac and cheese, and pork belly. This was the first day after a 30 day paleo cleanse so it was like getting out of food jail to be released into tropical paradise. Ceviche, Cuban sandwiches, vegan treats delivered to our door, and key lime pie on the beach were all incredible, but the highlight was getting the secret to making the world’s best pina colada: a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Jessica Coughlin is an Account Executive at the National Public Radio station in Boston, selling sponsorship for programs, podcasts, and events. She lives with her fiancé Anthony, who she met on Shakedown Street at Phish, and their two dogs, Gumbo the corgi and TenHigh the cane corso. Her blog Fest Food covers culinary adventures on Phish tour and beyond, featuring music festival cuisine and craft beer across the country. Jessica founded and directs Field Day, the annual 500-person color war at Summer Camp Music Festival outside of Chicago, now in it's 6th year. She is passionate about the power of music to inspire positive change and has volunteered for The WaterWheel Foundation, Phish's non-profit organization, since 2011. The bands she will travel to the ends of the earth to see are Phish, Wilco, Radiohead, My Morning Jacket, and Mavis Staples.
