The New York State Office of General Services has released its At The Plaza Summer Series for a summer’s worth of celebrations at the Empire State Plaza in Albany, N.Y., including commemorating the 50th anniversary of the host venue.
Another tidbit of news is that due to construction near the State Museum entrance, this summer’s shows will take place at the north end of the plaza. This will eliminate staircase seating for this summer, so organizers are encouraging attendees to bring their own chairs.
Summer at the Plaza is a group of family friendly concerts, movies and festivals and will kick off June 3, from 5 to 9 p.m., with Pop-Rock Night featuring Orleans. New to the festival this year is Plaza at 50, a day-long celebration featuring a farmer’s market, food, music and fireworks.
