Heavy metal rockers Lamb of God’s North American spring touring plans include a headline tour mixed in with many of the major rock festivals that take place during the loudest month of the year.
Lamb of God will travel the U.S highways with a very well known rock lineup that includes Clutch and Corrosion of Conformity.
Lamb of God will start things off on April 30 at the Fort Rock Festival in Fort Myers, Florida. They’ll also make festival appearances at Rock On The Range, Carolina Rebellion, Bonnaroo, Welcome To Rockville and at the first ever Rock’n Derby, which takes place at the Schaghticoke Fairgrounds on May 20.
Other New York dates include the Magic City Music Hall in Binghamton on May 16, and at The Paramount in Huntington on May 17.
The tour announcement comes days after Lamb of God’s equipment truck crashed and damaged some of the band’s production equipment among other things, according to Metal Injection.
Lamb of God formed in 1994 as Burn the Priest and released one self-titled studio album. In 1998, the band changed its name to Lamb of God. Since then, Lamb of God has released seven studio albums, including their most current album VII: Strum und Drang. The album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard U.S. Top Current Albums chart, No. 3 on the Top 200 chart and No. 1 on both the Rock Album and Hard Rock Album charts.
Lamb of God has been nominated for a Grammy for the Best Metal Performance Award for their single “512.” This is the band’s fifth Grammy nomination.
