What do you get when you take three alt-rock powerhouses and send them off to 28 arenas spanning two continents? A Hella Mega Tour. Green Day, Weezer, and Fall Out Boy will be joined by L.A. ska band The Interrupters for what is sure to be the hottest ticket of next summer. They’ve got one New York Date on August 22 at Citi Field in NYC. But there are several dates in surrounding states. See the full list below. Tickets go on sale on September 20 (but here’s a tip: head to the bands’ websites to find out about presale tickets).
All three bands have also released new songs and announced upcoming albums. Green Day’s “Father of All” is the title track to their new LP due out in February. Weezer’s “End of the Game” comes from their album Van Weezer, which is slated for a May release. And Fall Out Boy’s “Dear Future (Hands Up),” (featuring Wyclef Jean), will be on their upcoming compilation album Greatest Hits: Believers Never Die – Volume Two.
