Folkfaces Announce 2017 Fall Tour Dates

With Autumn almost in full swing and crisp leaves around the corner, Fall tour announcements keep rolling in. This time, Buffalo-centered Folkfaces joined the party with an announcement of 13 gigs spanning from Sept. 9 to Nov. 25, with all but two taking place in the Empire State.

After a folk-filled summer and holding their own during festival slots and on Buffalo bills, the NYSMusic 87/90 outfit already kicked off their first two Sept. gigs over the weekend at Purple Pig 6 “Coming Home” and Pollywogg Holler, where intimate memories were created with a wildly receptive crowd in attendance.

The next gig marks Folkfaces first ever visit to Alden, NY at The Hilltop Inn and Grove, before continuing to take NY state by storm, with a few pit stops in Vermont. A string of shows takes the charismatic five-piece to perform Livestock and two sets at The Fall Down Music Festival before playing a hoppin’ hometown jam just before Halloween on Oct. 27. Although a familiar venue, Albany’s own high-energy musical wizards, Mister F, and Smokin’ Black Tar will be joining them to help spice up yet another night at Neitzsche’s.

A follow-up stop at Rochester’s Anthology will see the tour’s second night of support from The Blind Owls Band and The Honey Smugglers before finishing things up at Temple Bar and Grill. Folkfaces will hit Saratoga Springs‘ Putnam Den before wandering over to Vermont for a two-night stint at The Radio Bean in Burlington and The Pizza Stone in Chester. The tour will wrap up with two remaining NY dates at Grateful Grill in Silver Springs and 42 North in East Aurora.

Grab your dancin’ shoes, put your folk faces on and if you’re not there already, hop over to New York to catch one of the remaining 11 dates this fall.
