The Eric Redd Movement Set to Funk Up Woodstock

The Eric Redd Movement, with special guest Adrien Reju, will bring the funk to the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock this Friday, Nov. 20.

The Eric Redd Movement is a funk-driven group led by R&B and dance music artist Redd. The Movement consists of guitarist and Grammy and Juno award winner Danny Blume, drummer Zachary Alford, bassist Kyle Esposito, keyboardist Will Bryant and percussionist Manuel Quintana.

Redd last visited Bearsville this past spring, bringing the audience to its feet with his version of “You Gotta Serve Somebody” at the Bob Dylan Birthday Celebration. The band is coming off a well-received performance at Kingston’s O+ Festival in October.

Described as a mixture of Rick James, Terrence Trent D’Arby and Chic, Redd’s dance moves keep the energy high and the audience uplifted. The Movement’s mix of R&B, dance and rock grooves, a style it likes to term Nu Old Skool, is on full display in the video below.

Woodstock native Adrien Reju will open the 9 p.m. show. Tickets are available through the Bearsville Theater.
