Get Your Green Ready for St. Patrick’s Day with moe.

posterThis St. Patrick’s Day, break out your best green and head to New York City to see moe.

(Green clothes, we mean. Obviously.)

New York’s own legendary jam band will play an intimate show at Stage 48, which has a capacity of about 1,000, this Thursday, which for the un-Irish is St. Patrick’s Day.

Tickets for the Thursday night show were only available to those who bought a three-day pass for the entire New York City run.

Then the band will head to the Playstation Theater in Times Square (known when the band played there last March as the Best Buy Theater) for shows Friday and Saturday, March 18 and 19.

On Saturday, those with tickets to that night’s show can attend a happy hour hosted by the band at 6 p.m. at the Playstation Theater. They plan to tap kegs of Hoppy Hour Hero, the Saranac Brewery IPA made specially for moe., and sell it at a discounted rate while they “Raise a Glass” (meaning they’ll probably do an acoustic performance of their song of that name, which they’ve been doing at similar happy hours on various runs in recent months).

Also on Saturday, March 19, moe. drummer Vinnie Amico will host a drum clinic at 2 p.m. at Pinks, a ’50s car-themed bar and grille at 242 East 10th St. Hoppy Hour Hero will also be sold at this event. A $5 donation at the door will benefit HeadCount.

Amico is hyping up fans with a NYC-style pizza cooking show:

Last year, moe. played an intimate show at a venue called Le Poisson Rouge on Thursday night of the run. Here’s video from those shows:
