Wood Brothers and Hot Tuna Join Tedeschi Trucks Band Wheels of Soul Tour

The Tedeschi Trucks Band announced the third installment of their Wheels of Soul summer tour and will be supported by the Wood Brothers and Hot Tuna.

The Wood Brothers and Hot Tuna will join the Tedeschi Trucks Band this summer for the Wheels of Soul tour, now in its third year. The tour has been touted as “the best musical hang of the season” by the Oakland Press. The bands are no strangers to each other. Oliver Wood of the Wood Brothers helped write a song from the Tedeschi Trucks Band’s debut album Revelator while Susan Tedeschi is featured on the Wood Brothers’ 2015 release Paradise. Jorma Kaukonen of Hot Tuna supported the Tedeschi Trucks Band on some shows in 2016.

The Wheels of Soul 2017 tour kicks off July 1 at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford, New Hampshire followed by a show at the Midway Lawn at the Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex, Vermont on July 2 and the first New York stop at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center on July 3. They also hit up the Highland Bowl in Rochester on July 8 followed by the Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center in Simsbury, Connecticut on July 9. The tour then heads south and west before closing out for two special nights at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado on July 29 and 30.

A fan pre-sale is currently underway with tickets going on sale to the general public beginning Friday, Jan. 27.
