Rising Appalachia and Kuf Knotz Seek to Raise Awareness

Rising App Activist folk group Rising Appalachia hopes to inspire minds and awaken new possibility at Higher Ground this Sunday in Burlington, Vermont. Sisters Leah and Chloe Smith along with musicians Biko Casini and David Brown seek to form community wherever they perform  forge lasting ties with their fan base. Philly-raised, NYC-based hip hop soul singer Kuf Knotz opens.

Rising Appalachia is known for representing non-profits at their musical gatherings, looking to illuminate environmental consciousness. The group is currently partnering with Permaculture Action Network to shed light on humans’ relationship to land. Actualizing the agricultural potential in urban spaces leads to the implementation of gardens, orchards, rainwater harvesting and other sustainable practices.
