Cousin Earth brings their seventh annual Wintercourse festival back to Brooklyn’s Knitting Factory. Headlining the annual mid-winter event is Bella’s Bartok, who will share the stage with Space Carnival, Teddy Midnight and Cousin Earth.
Cousin Earth‘s one night mid-winter music festival takes place on Saturday, Jan. 20 at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn. The show features 87/90 bands Cousin Earth and Space Carnival, along with Wintercourse veterans Teddy Midnight and the headliner Bella’s Bartok from Northampton, Massachusetts. The show is presented by NYS Music.
Wintercourse, the brainchild of Cousin Earth’s ukulele bassist Corey J. Feldman, began as a music and comedy festival. In recent years, it gravitated towards a focus on the music.
Bella’s Bartok considers their music circus punk, melding Bohemian klezmer punk with pop. They have shared the stage with big name acts, such as Rubblebucket, the Meat Puppets, the Adam Ezra Group and the Indigo Girls.
Tickets for Wintercourse are available for $12 in advance or $15 at the door. Doors open at 8 p.m. for the 21 and over show with music starting at 8:30 p.m.
