Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul Announce Fall Tour Honoring Teachers

Little Steven and The Disciples of Soul are heading out on the Soulfire Teacher Appreciation Tour.  There is one show scheduled in New York at Rochester’s Kodak Center on Oct. 20.Tickets are free to educators (and a guest), as a way to reward teachers for their dedication. Tickets are on sale now for the general public.

The tour follows on the heels of the Soulfire Live! release earlier this year. The seven LP box set and two-disc DVD featuring live performances by Steven Van Zandt captured during his world-wide tours over the past couple decades. Featured guests appearing in Soulfire Live! include including Bruce Springsteen, Richie Sambora, Peter Wolf, and Jerry Miller (of Moby Grape).

The tour also serves as an introduction to TeachRock, with pre-show workshops at each stop on tour on how to use the free online TeachRock curriculum with K-12 students.

‘Music will forever be humanity’s most effective and consistent source of inspiration and motivation,’ says Little Steven, ‘and, we have learned, music turns out to be our most solid common ground for establishing communication between teachers and students which is where education begins.’
