Felice Brothers Coming to Rochester

The Felice BrothersRochester is for lovers? The Felice Brothers apparently think so. For the second year in a row they will bless this town with a Valentine’s Day weekend show when they play at the Montage Music Hall Saturday night. Last year’s stellar set was capped off with a trio of classic love songs, “Just Like Starting Over” (Lennon), “You Got It” (Orbison) and “Stand By Me” (King). What crazy shenanigans have do these raucous folk-slingers got cooking this year?

It looks like winter is going to finally show up this weekend with near zero temperatures, which gets your mind thinking of those less fortunate. The Felice Brothers have been thinking along those lines as well. The band released their Christmas EP, Felice Navidad, last year, with all proceeds to benefit the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley. They are also running a food drive at the show Saturday night to benefit Rochester’s Foodlink, so bring some non-perishable goods with you to donate at the door.

Tickets are going fast and will likely sell out, so get yours soon. They are being sold at Record Archive, Aaron’s Alley, House of Guitars and online at the Montage site. Tickets are $17 in advance and $20 day of show. Doors will open at 8:30pm with The Barry Brothers (keeping it an all-brothers bill) kicking things off at 9pm this Saturday, February 13. C’mon out and feel the love!
