We Banjo 3 Announces Winter & Spring Tour

Crossover quartet We Banjo 3 has announced that they will be going on a Rise + Shine Tour this winter and spring. Promoting their Roots to Rise Live album that was released during their 2019 Roots to Rise Tour, the band will make 30 stops across the United States. Starting in New York City on January 10 at the Iridium Jazz Club, they will play three additional times in New York. Fans can watch them live at The Stanley Theater in Utica on January 11, Landmark on Main Street in Port Washington on January 12, or on January 23 at Caffe Lena in Saratoga Springs.

We Banjo 3 (WB3) debuted in the U.S. in 2012 with much fanfare. Comprised of two sets of brothers, Enda & Fergal Scahill from Galway, Ireland and Martin & David Howley from Nashville, Tennessee, they have fused Americana, Bluegrass and Celtic sounds into pop-based tracks, providing such a unique sound that fans come from every background to listen to this energetic group.

Actor/comedian and musician Steve Martin says of the band, “We Banjo 3…are making waves…here in America. They are playing the banjo in a style that I didn’t even know could be played like that.”

Roots To Rise Live was recorded at The Ark in Ann Arbor, Michigan and features original material, traditional songs, a few cover songs and two album exclusives. It spent four weeks at the #1 position in Billboard’s Bluegrass Albums Chart in August, making it the band’s second album since Haven in 2018 to top the charts. They made history in August when Haven returned to the #5 spot on the Billboard Charts, making them the only Irish band in history to have two albums in the top five at the same time.

Not only is WB3 committed to providing fans with a gratifying experience, they also want to raise awareness of mental health issues surrounding music industry professionals and their families. For the Rise + Shine Tour, they have partnered with Backline to donate $2.00 for every t-shirt and CD sold while on tour.
