Warren Haynes, John Medeski, Joe Russo and George Porter Jr. are back for One Night Only…Again!

On Saturday, October 19, an eclectic group of all-star musicians will join forces once again at the Capitol Theatre to bring awareness to and raise money for The Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa Research Association of America (DEBRA of America). The first “One Night Only” conglomeration in October 2018 was so successful that a sequel is in order. This year’s lineup includes Warren Haynes (Gov’t Mule), John Medeski (Medeski, Martin & Wood), Joe Russo (Joe Russo’s Almost Dead), George Porter, Jr (The Meters), and Karl Denson (Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe).

Epidermolysis Bullosa, often called “the worst disease you’ve never heard of,” is a rare genetic condition that causes complications from extremely fragile skin. There is no known cure, and some uncommon varieties have very poor life expectancy. DEBRA of America is the only US non-profit committed to supporting the EB community by funding research and providing much needed free services.

Last year, Haynes found out about this disease and gathered his friends for the original “One Night Only” benefit. The musicians delivered a night of prominent jams, covers and blues standards, and included an appearance by saxophonist Skerik.

This year’s exciting lineup is sure to bring more musical mash-ups and unexpected covers that will support a great cause, but will only be seen for “One Night Only.” Tickets are available at this link.
