Mazzstock Set for Marlboro Aug.24-26

Kung Fu, Zach Deputy and Roots of Creation headlining the three-day event.

Mazzstock Music Festival takes place from August 24-26 in Marlboro, New York. The festival, which includes headliners Kung Fu, Zach Deputy, and Roots of Creation, began as a 50th birthday celebration for its founder Big Lee Mazzola in 2008. This year, Mazzola also welcomes Haley Jane and the Primates, Shwizz, and Cosmal to celebrate his 60th. Local Pink Floyd cover band, Dark Side of the Hudson will cover the albums Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here while Mazzola and his friends come together once again as the Mazzstock All-Star Band.

The small festival is family friendly and set in an idyllic nook of the Hudson Valley. The music takes place on two stages over three days, and, after the plug is pulled on amplified music, there will be a campfire with acoustic jams going late into the night. Or, if you prefer rocking out with headphones on, a battle of the silent bands is scheduled for Friday night, with a silent disco late night Saturday. In addition to the music, there will be live art, hoop workshops, yoga, and local vendors selling crafts and food.
